The time is growing near!

We recently heard from Buckner that their application has been approved by the Ministery of Education and is on its way to the other four ministeries. Just to let everyone know how important this is, when the Ministery of Education approves an application, the other agencies follow suit. So we just continue to wait patiently for the words that will send us on our way. The mission is about to hit high gear!

Buckner on their way to accreditation!

At last report, the agency we are going through (Buckner) told us that their paperwork was now in the hands of the Ministery of Education. It will be reviewed and then sent on to the other four ministeries for approval. We are believing this process will go quickly and smoothly. Please remain in a state of prayer.
Also, please pray for all the families that are going through this same process. We recently found out that two families have decided to not go through with the adoption process due to the level of stress produced by the wait. These children deserve good christian homes.

Roman is one step closer to getting home.

We received an e-mail from our adoption agency today. The Russian government has finally started to accredit agencies. They expect to have their accreditation by October. Thank you God!

Blessings are coming in!

At the recent Cross Fire Crusade here in Buffalo, the event gave away a drag car. Guess who won it. The car puts us closer to our goal we need to meet for the adoption, but we are still a little ways away from the amount we need, but we know God will provide.

New news from Buckner.

As of today, the extra information the Minister of Education requested has been translated and delivered. Please pray that they don't ask for anything else. Also, please keep the children in the orphanages in your prayers. We were told by our caseworker that they don't really understand the wait. Many of them are very depressed. She said that there person in Russia spoke to Roman, and he is having a hard time with the wait. So we are calling on all prayer warriors.

While we wait.

I have started trying to raise money for the adoption. That may seem wrong to some who feel that we should not ask for help from anyone, but we have been in a lot of prayer about it. God showed us, through some friends who recently adopted, that there is nothing wrong with allowing others to sow into fertile soil. After all, my wife and I do so quite often. It is God's will that we give to others, and we have done so faithfully. So if you read this, and you feel led to gift into this adoption, please let us know. Every gift is welcomed, no matter how much.

Still Hanging In There!

I talked to our case worker Friday. She informed me that the Russian Minister of Education requested a few more verifications from Buckner and 10 other agencies. They have the information prepared to go out, and are sending it ASAP to Russia. The good thing about this, is that this shows that the Russian governmental agencies are reviewing applications for accreditation. Unfortunately we still don't have a time frame. Thanks to everyone for the prayers.
